At Scarborough Mortgage Services we feel that it is important for our Internet services to be available to as many people as possible. For this reason we have implemented accessibility features in to our site.

Access Keys

Access Keys are keyboard shortcuts intended to help users who have difficulty in using devices such as a mouse or other pointing devices. All top-level pages within the Scarborough Mortgage Services site have been assigned an Access Key. In order to use the access key, in Microsoft Windows press the 'ALT' key and the letter or number used for the access key (e.g. '1' for our homepage), release and then press return on your keyboard.

As well as Access Keys, we have designed our website to conform to the following Web Standards set out by the W3C organisation.

WCAG - Level 'AA'

Scarborough Mortgage Services is committed to ensuring its website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. All the pages on our Web site will conform to W3C/WAI's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG) Conformance Level 'AA', however some do comply with Level 'AAA'.

Images

All images on our website use ‘Alt’ tags that display an alternative description of the image. These descriptions of the images all software such as screen readers to read out a description of the image to visually impaired users.

Adobe PDF Documents

The Scarborough Mortgage Services website uses PDF documents to convey some information. To allow this information to be accessible, Adobe provide a number of tools to help convert PDF content into a more accessible format.
